Visiting Every Exhibition You’ve Ever Seen Simultaneously, in the Same Space (2019-2020 or 1998-2020)
This edition is based on a drawing that I made for a contribution to the Dutch magazine Tubelight. It accompanied a text that proposed readers to imagine all the exhibitions they had ever seen, at the same and in the same space. They were then invited to take a walk through this physically impossible exhibition. Whilst writing the text I was inspired by a scene from Liu Cixin’s novel The Dark Forest, where characters encountered a three-dimensional representation of a four-dimensional space. The sculpture measures around 24 x 22 x 4 cm and is made out of powder coated steel, in an edition of 3.
