To be chiseled out of marble

This work is part of The Hague bookshop and project space Page not Found’s series ‘Open Letters’. Page Not Found’s Open Letter programme focuses on messages of urgency and vulnerability. To be chiseled out of marble combines questions about identity, presentation and gender with thoughts about current pandemic-times, barriers between inside and outside, containing and being contained, the prevention, allowance and welcoming of rot, corroding separations and a need for empathy. It was displayed on the main window of Page not Found’s space. A PDF version of the text can be found here.
