Still Lifes
Series of 3 x 5, each unique except for the screen print. For years I’ve had this folder of recreated classic still lifes sitting somewhere on my laptop, initially made for a publication that never came to be. Some ended up being used in collaborations or as Whatsapp profile pics. And now there’s these, extending the endless life of paintings by Vanessa Bell, Willem van Aelst and Willem Kalf beyond digital images and museum shops, after lots of hand sewing, ironing and screen printing. Details include a colour correction bar and a digital b/w print of the original painting as a label.
Sizes vary, each around 65 x 65 cm. Includes a wooden hangrail. €375 each.
